Temporary Romanian mission at Foreign Employment Office to facilitate Nepali nationals going Romania for work

KATHMANDU, August 26: A temporary Romanian Mission has been established at the Foreign Employment Office in Tahachal to facilitate Nepali nationals wishing to go to Romania for employment. The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security established the temporary mission to facilitate the visa process for Nepali workers going to Romania for employment. Prior to this, Nepalis wishing to go to Romania for work had to go to the Romanian Embassy in New Delhi, India to apply for a visa after receiving an employment contract from the employer in Romania. Training mandatory for workers going to European countries

The government has made training mandatory for the Nepali workers going to the European countries as domestic help. The Department of Foreign Employment has made orientation training mandatory for such workers after it was found that some manpower companies were sending workers to Cyprus, Romania among other countries without imparting them the orientation.
