The consular jurisdiction of the Consular Section of the Embassy of Romania in New Delhi includes, beside India: People's Republic of Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Nepal, Republic of the Maldives and Kingdom of Bhutan

Working Hours:

1. Visa application (Visa interview only by appointment : http://evisa.mae.ro )

      •    For submission: Monday - Friday from 10.00 to 13.00;

      •    For pick-up of passports: Monday - Friday:  13.00 to 13.30

2. Consular Services (by appointment only):

      •     Monday - Friday:  12.30 - 13.00; -  submission of the Consular Service Application and of supporting documents;

The Consular Section is closed on the Romanian legal holidays. On domestic Indian holidays, the Consular Section is open for public. The Consular Section will remain closed in the year of 2020 on following Romanian National Holidays: 

January 1 - 2 - New Year

January 24 - Day of the Union of Romanian Principalities

April 17 - Good Friday

April 20 - the second day of Orthodox Easter

May 1 - Labor Day

June 8 - Pentecost, Whit Monday

August 15 - Dormition of the Mother of God;

November 30 - St. Andrew

December 1 - Romania's National Day

December 25, December 26 - Christmas.

Consular services for foreign citizens by e-mail appointment only (newdelhi.cons@mae.ro). The e-mail message should contain the following information:

• Complete name of applicant;
• Address including temporary address if the case;
• Date and place of birth;
• Personal identification number
• Concise description of the situation and mention of the consular service required;
• Proposal for two alternative appointments, date and time.
